Arts Enrichment

For Mid Coast Maine

Youth Arts

is a private, non-profit, all-volunteer organization.

For over 40 years, we have provided arts enrichment in the schools of Camden and Rockport, Maine, including the Five-town High School (serving also Appleton, Hope and Lincolnville).

Through dynamic arts residencies, workshops, and performances (both student and professional), we bring experiences to local students that would not otherwise be available.

Charitable contributions from individuals and businesses in the local community provide our funding.

Did you know?

Many of the special arts projects and performances that your child enjoys throughout the school year are not a part of the regular school curriculum.

Our programs are requested by teachers.

However, they should not be confused with Horizons Arts (a school program).

Our programs are designed to provide experiences that the school system does not deliver.

  • Youth Arts activities are responsive to the teachers' requests and integrate with the curriculum.

  • Students and faculty are linked to the arts community through the experience of Residencies, Workshops, and Performances

  • In-school and public performances bring the arts to every student, and to the entire school community.

All-Volunteer

Our organization is comprised entirely of local volunteers.  Over the years, hundreds of individuals have organized and conducted educational events (Residencies, Workshops, and Performances), as well as a major annual fund-raising effort to keep these projects happening.
